    We would like to see results for all maiden and alias names associated with an applicant.
  14. Is the Department interested in student screening services for students enrolled in healthcare programs that require background checks prior to clinical experience?
    That information is not requested as part of the RFP.
  15. Are vendors permitted to attach a cost sheet with package recommendations and à la carte suggestions they believe will benefit the Department, in addition to those services requested in the RFP?

  1. How have background checks been conducted previous/currently?
    Background checks are currently conducted by a professional organization specializing in these services.  The services are provided through a contractual services agreement as a result of the previous RFP process.
  2. What has been or is the current cost per background report?
    The current base fee for a background check is $13.00.  Additional fees may apply depending on the state from which the applicant's driver's license information is searched.
  3. How many referrals per week and per month can be expected?
    Each college submits its own requests for background checks so the per week or per month number of requests will vary depending on the peak times of activities during the calendar year.  In addition, some colleges choose to conduct background checks on athletes and federal work study students whereas other colleges do not.  We are averaging a total of 175 per month so far this calendar year.
