Fulbright scholar to speak at Calhoun MLK tribute

Calhoun Community College will pay tribute to slain civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during the school's annual celebration program.

Dr. Creigs C. Beverly, Fulbright scholar and professor emeritus of social work at Wayne State University in Detroit, will be the keynote speaker.

This year's event, hosted by the college's Black Student Alliance, begins at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, in the Aerospace Training Center of Calhoun's Decatur campus.
