MONTGOMERY, Ala. – At the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission On Colleges (SACSCOC) Annual Meeting December 3-6 in Atlanta, Georgia, the Commission Board of Trustees approved the Substantive Change Request for the final approval of the consolidation of Faulkner State Community College with Jefferson Davis Community College and Alabama Southern Community College.

If they’re lucky enough to end up at a Toyota dealership, they make over $60,000. That’s in a state with a median household income of $44,765.
MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Officials of the Alabama Community College System, public universities, and Huntingdon College across the state gathered today to announce a new agreement that will allow students to transfer credits from four-year institutions back to a two-year institution in order to complete a degree.
Montgomery, AL -- In recognition of April as National Community College Month and to communicate the importance of the state’s two-year colleges to Alabama’s workforce and economic development efforts, the Alabama Community College System (ACCS) will host the second annual ACCS Day on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, from 10am – 2pm in Montgomery.
More than 2,000 students, faculty and staff representing the System’s 25 member colleges, Marion Military Institute and the Alabama Technology Network are expected to attend the event, set to be held on the lawns of the Alabama State Capitol and State Archives and History building.
HANCEVILLE, Ala. — The latest graduates of the Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Wallace State Community College provided the program with a 100 percent pass rate for the national board certification exams. Almost 40 students graduated from the program in 2015, and all of the students taking the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy passed the exam in order to earn their certification as an occupational therapy assistant.
