The Legal and Human Resources Division provides legal advice and representation
to the Chancellor, the Department of Postsecondary Education, the State Board of
Education, and the postsecondary education institutions and agencies under the direction
of the State Board of Education. The Division provides technical assistance in the
development of policy and the interpretation of statutes and regulations; and provides
advice and assistance regarding the recruitment, selection, evaluation, management,
and training of college and departmental personnel. The Vice Chancellor for Legal
and Human Resources also serves as General Counsel and reports to the Chancellor.
